People on The Move: Riot Games Creates 120 Jobs for Dublin With New Remote Broadcast Studio
Everything is being overshadowed by Faze Clan’s debut on the NASDAQ stock exchange this week, but everyone has already talked that into the ground so let’s focus on something that has actually created jobs somewhere in our universe: Riot Games.
On Wednesday, the League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Valorant maker announced a new remote broadcast center (studio) in Dublin, Ireland. The 6,000 sq. foot facility will ultimately hire 120 people–Riot already employs about 160 people in its Ireland offices–and is a core part of its Project Stryker initiative which is building out similar studios in Seattle and Asia-Pacific. The company claims that it has spent approximately $18.85M USD (€18.5M) in total on this initiative.
Given the sheer number of layoffs around the globe, even 120 new jobs is welcomed news, so kudos to Riot for doing that this week. Read more here!
